Have a love of the outdoors? Connect with other, like-minded individuals at this brand new volunteer event.

Adults are invited to join Hitchcock Nature Center staff for this brand new event aimed at connecting conservation minded individuals through volunteering. Attendees will be invited to mix and mingle as they perform volunteer service at Hitchcock Nature Center.

Individuals age 18 & over are invited to join us from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 13th as we support the land stewardship efforts of the Pottawattamie County Conservation Natural Areas Management department. Staff will provide tools for use but feel free to bring bow saws or loppers if you have them. Please bring gloves, water, and dress for the weather.

To ensure that we have proper staffing and supplies we are asking you to register in advance for this event. For more information or to register online please visit or call 712-545-3283.

This adult oriented event will include traversing rough terrain and hiking to our work location.

There is no fee for this event and participants DO NOT need to to pay the $2.00 per vehicle daily fee or have an annual park permit. We appreciate your support!

This event is human friendly but not pet friendly, please leave your canine friends at home. Service animals are always welcome.
